About Helen Banks

Dr Helen Banks is a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine, working with inpatients on Seddon Specialist Rehabilitation Unit at St Helens Hospital where those with physical, cognitive or communication impairment after illness or injury are provided with multidisciplinary rehabilitation. She also sees outpatients to undertake specialist rehabilitation assessment and offer management strategies. 

She did her undergraduate medical training at Newcastle University before speciality training in Rehabilitation Medicine within the Oxford Deanery. 

Dr Banks is the Less than Full Time Training Champion and Return to Training Champion for The Walton Centre. 

She is also the Training Programme Director for the North West/Mersey region, supporting those doctors undertaking speciality training in Rehabilitation Medicine.
